Robert is the founding Executive Director and Director of Strategy for the Whitneyville Cultural Commons, a Community Resources Center that preserves and enhances places of communal and historic value by providing public spaces, tools, and knowledge as shared resources to support thriving communities - socially, culturally, and economically. With grit and luck, Robert has grown the WCC to financial sustainability within five years of its founding, and was able to show off its community resources center as a prototype for providing social infrastructure for diverse community members across cultural backgrounds.
Prior to moving into nonprofit incubation and development he worked in sustainable animal husbandry; deconstruction as a means of historic preservation and green waste management; in-home assisted living for those in hospice situations with psychiatric illnesses; and as a professional chef.
Having lived and worked all over Connecticut during the last forty years, he's excited to leverage his wellspring of experience assisting Waterbury residents in charting and navigating the start-up phase of their grassroots projects.
